When we orient we arrive, look around, gather facts about where we are. We may always be doing it to one degree or another. Really allowing ourselves to presence the skill of orienting allows us to learn about and regulate the nervous system, and feel it as a resource. Try this one standing or sitting, and then on a street corner, on the bus, or in a crowded room.
